i don't really draw anything else *but* catgirls.

As for what you were asking, about how I start the pose...
Strangely enough I start with the head, and I pretty much always start of with an incredibly rough sketch. I layer the marks over and over again, and put them in many different positions. I *may* have an example of this on my DA site. If I do, I'll try to remember to send you another message with the URL.

But just don't give up with your art. Keep on practising and look at references for poses. Don't bother copying the reference picture styles either. Steal the pose, but use your own characters. ^___^ That's how I learnt. But, I found my 'scribble' method tended to work the best for me.

hey just to let you know Im a Red belt in ITF (International Taekwon-do Federation) Taekwon-do I've been training almost 3 years I started out in a club that said it could get you to your black belt in 2 years but I left last year because my Instructor (now my boyfriend) had an arguement with the other instructor due to this problem, he (my bf) maintained that no one should get their black belt within 2 years, no other martial art does it and its not supposed to happen in TKD either, the other Instructor did'nt think it mattered and now his 2 blackbelt students, who were once good coloured belt students, are failing every competition they entered because most of their opponents have been training over 4 years. So in short its not very wise to try gain your black belt as fast as possible, As Bruce Lee said "belts are only there to keep your trousers up" its the individual that counts not the colour of your belt
